Like most aspects of our lives, our journey has been thrilling, filled with adventure, and a bit unconventional.

We first met 10 years ago as colleagues, both ambitious and eager to learn and grow in our careers. We quickly became friends, sharing our dreams, challenges, and passions. We had much in common, yet our differences made our friendship even more special.

Seven years later, after encouragement from friends and family, we took the next step and started dating. We had both recently ended long-term relationships and were hesitant to risk our friendship. However, our friends saw what we couldn’t see at first and encouraged us to take the plunge. We complemented each other’s strengths and weaknesses, supported each other’s goals and aspirations, and had a lot of fun together. We also faced challenges, balancing our work and personal lives, and overcoming our insecurities and fears. The result was a stronger relationship than either of us had ever experienced.

Our relationship reached an early turning point in June 2021 when John had a motorcycle accident that nearly took his life. It would have been easy for either of us to walk away and focus on ourselves, but we didn’t. Through the near loss and lengthy recovery process, it became clear that our relationship was deeper than either of us had ever imagined.

18 months later, we began discussing ideas for our wedding, marriage, and future. We bought property and started the process of building our forever home. That process continues today as Emily grows into her role as a bonus mom to Sofia and Victoria, and John continues his journey to be a better father and partner.

John proposed on April 12th, in Cancun, where Emily became scuba certified. We are excited to say our vows in Cozumel, Mexico, on November 16th, 2024. We would be honored for you to join us as we commit to each other and embark on the next phase of our journey together. Our commitment to our family and relationship grows stronger every day. We are both very ready for this next stage in our lives together. We are honored to share this experience with those closest to us.
